The International Sign Academy offers Professional Development Units (PDUs) to participants in webinars, seminars and select International Sign Expo events.
Earning PDUs
All Sign Academy webinar participants earn 1 PDU.
Participants in seminars at the International Sign Expo or offered through the Sign Academy in regional/local jurisdictions will be awarded PDUs on the following scale:
- Participants in programs lasting 3 hours or less earn 2 PDUs.
- Participants in half-day programs earn 3 PDUs.
- Participants in full-day programs earn up to 4 PDUs, the maximum amount for a full day program.
1 Level = 15 PDUs in one or multiple subject areas
PDUs for Individuals
Employees who earn PDUs are demonstrating a commitment to remaining current in the sign industry. In a difficult economy, employees who possess continuing education credits have proven to be more valuable to current and prospective employers.
Quality Training Accomplishment Award
In addition to creating a better-trained and more productive workforce, encouraging your employees (and yourself) to earn PDUs could earn your company an ISA Quality Training Accomplishment award.
The company Quality Training Accomplishment awards are granted as follows:
- Bronze Training Award: Owner and/or employees earn 15 – 25 PDUs within a calendar year.
- Silver Training Award: Owner and/or employees earn 26 – 50 PDUs within a calendar year.
- Gold Training Award: Owner and/or employees earn 51 – 75 PDUs within a calendar year.
- Platinum Training Award: Owner and/or employees earn 76 or higher PDUs within a calendar year.
Although individual PDUs remain with the employee, the Quality Training Accomplishment Award remains with the company, and can be a valuable asset on marketing materials and bids.
