2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET The National Fire Protection Association developed a document in the late 70s at the request of OSHA detailing safety requirements for workers in the electrical workplace. This standard is titled NFPA 70E. This document was typically found on the shelf, accumulating dust for numerous years and only for the past several years has the importance of this document skyrocketed. OSHA bases their inspections and fines of jobsite accidents on the information contained within this standard. Learn the important concepts of this document and how it pertains to the sign industry. 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has listed sign companies as a source of hazardous air pollutants (HAP) that contribute to the risk to the public. This action resulted in new regulations for companies engaged in surface coating of signs and related displays. The EPA has partnered with GRC-Pirk Management and ISA to provide programs that encourage early compliance. The International Sign Association has what dozens of others in this industry do not, the ability to conduct an interactive, online training program that is tailored to your local regulatory requirements.
With just a simple internet connection, we can do a live webinar course which touches on all the federal, state and local requirements concerning the new EPA 40 CFR Part 63 subpart HHHHHH such as: - spray gun equipment selection, set up, and operation;
- spray technique for different types of coatings to improve transfer efficiency and minimize coating usage and overspray;
- routine spray booth and filter maintenance; and
- environmental compliance.

They will speak and show PowerPoint presentation slides, including regulatory tools and resources. The presentation will include prepared comments and responses specifically intended for North American Industry Classification (NAICS) 33995 Sign companies and Manufacturers. The question and answer moderator will also receive online questions from the audience. After the presentation, the moderator will read these questions to the panelists. The moderator will introduce the speakers and make a few comments before the session starts.
BACKGROUND: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has listed the industry sector of sign manufacturing and advertising specialties as an area source of hazardous air pollutants (HAP) that contribute to the risk to public health in urban areas under the Integrated Urban Air Toxics Strategy. This action resulted in new regulations under the national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants (NESHAP) for area sources engaged in surface coating of signs and related displays, 40 CFR Part 63. The EPA has partnered with GRC-Pirk Management in various outreach programs that provide a forum for the exchange of information to encourage early compliance.
