______________________________ New Traffic Sign Minimum Reflectivity Laws Create Sales Opportunities for Every Sign Shop Thursday, March 11, 2010
2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has recently passed new laws that have increased the minimum reflectivity levels required for the majority of street signs. In addition, laws have been passed requiring that roads on private property open to public traffic must meet these same standards. Any private property owner who is non-compliant with the new laws will be exposed to tort liability. Examples of areas that must become compliant are apartment complexes, shopping centers and malls, universities and more. Many of these complexes are currently non-complaint and are also unaware of the new legislation. As a result, this is the perfect opportunity for sign shops to educate private property owners of the new laws and sell the signs that will bring them up to code. This presentation will educate sign shop owners on the ins and outs of the legislation and provide them the tools to educate their customers.
In this webinar, you will learn:
- the different grades of reflective material available in the market.
- how the various reflective grades apply to the new minimum reflectivity laws recently put into place by the Federal Highway Administration.
- how legislation affects traffic signs on public roads and private property open to public traffic, i.e. apartment buildings and shopping complexes.
- to take full advantage of the resulting sales opportunities for every sign shop since the adoption of this new legislation.
