Help Your Customers Capitalize on Federal Tax Advantage Now!
Thursday, February 9, 2012
2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET

Sign companies still have until December 31, 2012, to take full advantage of a strong selling point courtesy of the federal government. Essentially, a business that purchases a sign in 2012 can write much of it off this year, which can be very enticing during these tough economic times.

New signage, classified as business personal property, is eligible for significant bonus depreciation and expense levels for the remainder of 2012. Sign customers should be made aware of these bonus depreciation and expensing tools as soon as possible!

This informative and timely program will:

  • Educate sign companies on these relatively obscure but beneficial provisions in the Internal Revenue Code;
  • Enable sign companies to provide a valuable resource to customers that are not aware of these tax provisions; and
  • Help sign companies sell more signs using this information

Thursday, March 8, 2012
2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET

No one wants to get sued — it costs time and money and can wreck your business. This webinar covers the most common areas of legal risk for sign companies and what you can do to protect yourself. Attorney Richard Rothfelder will explain how a sign contractor can prevent legal claims arising from employment disputes, accidents on the job and product defects.

The webinar will also cover contract language and forms for “do-it-yourself” collections, repossessions and liens. If a dispute does arise, we will explore methods of alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration. And finally, if an attorney is needed, this webinar will include tips on how to select a board certified attorney, negotiate engagement letters and attorney fees, and monitor the disposition of litigation.

Attendees will learn:

  • Collections;
  • Mechanics and Materialmens Liens;
  • Employment Law;
