President Barack Obama's first State of the Union address touched on small-business issues, including increasing capital access for America's entrepreneurs. He proposed to divert $30 billion to community banks to "give small businesses the credit they need to stay afloat." ISA supports initiatives such as this and other SBA loan programs that help sign companies during these difficult economic times. ISA CEO & President Lori Anderson met with SBA Administrator Karen Gordon Mills in November on how to improve the loan process for small businesses, and ISA will follow up to determine how the president's proposal will affect sign manufacturers specifically. ISA also offers a downloadable webinar on how to access federal funds to improve your business. For more information, e-mail David Hickey. |
