Legal issues pop up all the time, especially when dealing with local sign codes. This can be overwhelming at times. ISA will be offering its members access to a sign lawyer database, filled with attorneys who have extensive experience working on sign code-related issues.

All sorts of legal issues can arise in the course of getting a permit or just using a sign – including free speech concerns, design review, eminent domain and just compensation, nonconforming signs and amortization, sign size and height limits, or just getting a sign approved (or denied) in a timely manner. ISA is here to help provide guidance through the legal process.

Our sign lawyer database will help you find an attorney who is experienced with these issues, and who is licensed in your state. ISA staff is also able to provide you with legal background information and documents that will also provide you with a head start required to better understand these often complex and complicated issues.
