Get to Know: Matthew Rumbaugh, Director of Education

Fun Fact: I set a goal to read a biography of every U.S. President and so far, I’ve done 39 out of 44. Besides Obama, I still need to finish Rutherford Hayes, William Howard Taft, the first George Bush, and Jimmy Carter.
About Matt: Matt oversees strategy and management of ISA’s education efforts, which includes everything at the Expo, online offerings such as webinars, and on-site crane operator training and certification. He spent four years in a similar role at the National Glass Association and prior to that, eight years at the Corporate Executive Board in Washington, DC. Matt is a graduate of Syracuse University and will soon finish his MBA at George Mason University. He and his wife live with their two daughters in Fairfax, Virginia.
ISA Announces More than 75 Education Sessions for the 2012 ISA International Sign Expo
ISA has published its slate of education sessions, scheduled for the 2012 ISA International Sign Expo, March 21-24, 2012, in Orlando, Florida. Over 75 sessions on the latest topics in the sign industry will take place, covering a broad spectrum of disciplines, from customer service to digital signage. ISA Publishes New Tool for Educating Local Officials on Sign Codes
ISA's new position statement publication, explaining what the sign industry believes on key sign code and legislative issues, is now available in print and online versions. This grassroots tool will help sign companies educate local officials on 14 important subjects, including aesthetics, effective sign illumination, signs and driver behavior, and how signs affect economic development. ISA members will receive hard-copy versions of the publication via mail in the coming weeks, as well as complimentary updated editions of ISA's position statement publication every year.
