The State of the Industry report is now called the "Pulse." This annual report provides a snapshot of where the sign and graphics is and where it is headed. Respondents weigh in on their business performance for the past six months and upcoming year, as well as plans to hire and purchase equipment. It also assesses the most pressing issues facing the industry.

ISA 2015 Wage and Benefit Survey Report

The ISA Wage and Benefits Survey, conducted by Association Research, Inc. (ARI), an independent research firm that keeps all information collected from the survey completely confidential, received data from 475 sign and graphics companies. The results offer key insights you can use to benchmark your company to other companies of like scope, size and geographic area. The 2015 Survey Report includes data on compensation including salary and benefits as well as average number of workers in each job position, full time vs. part time ratios, union affiliations, commissions and bonuses, and more.

Economic Impact of the Sign & Visual Communications Industry Study


In 2014, Ernst & Young conducted research and interviewed over 1000 sign companies to determine the Economic Impact of the Sign and Visual Communications Industry in the United States. The results will help the industry better communicate its influence to government officials and other stakeholders.

ISA has launched a new research tool for ISA members, sponsored by the National Association of Sign Supply Distributors (NASSD). This comprehensive research tool for suppliers and distributors provides a forecast on future trends and upcoming market shifts by key segments in the sign industry.




2012 National Sign Company Survey of
Operations Report


ISA's 2012 Survey of Operations provides a score card that allows national sign companies to see how they compare to their peers. The survey includes operating and financial data for fiscal year 2011, including employment, income sources, productivity, and financial and operating ratios. This includes Executive Summary only - the full report is only available to participating Direct (National) Sign Company Council members.
