This is a sign that we would like to submit in the ISA Sign Design Competition for 2010. Our primary business at Galesburg Sign & Lighting, Inc. is the manufacturing and installation of custom lighted signs, since 1983. Our customer came to us looking for a sign with that classic look from the 1950's. So this is what we came up with. The sign that we are submitting is a freestanding double face internally illuminated with flourscent lighting, and the exterior of the arrow is illuminated with red neon. The faces in the sign are pan faces with embossed copy with second surface graphics on the inside of the face. The cabinets, pole skirt, and the large arrow are aluminum with and internal steel stucture, mounted on a single 8 inch steel pole. The overall height of the sign is 20 feet and the overall width is 15 feet.

They are mounted to a .012’’ thick f.c.o. alum. cloud background and then to a custom fabricated expanded alum wire mesh supported by a 2’’ alum sq. tube framework. “MEXICAN KITCHEN” is comprised of a single faced alum. cabinet illuminated with H.O. lamps. The face is made with .090 alum with .75’’ thick push thru letters.
