Matthew Rumbaugh Joins ISA as Director of Education

Alexandria, VA – November 14, 2011

Matthew Rumbaugh, previously the senior manager of education and training for the National Glass Association, has joined the International Sign Association. In his role as director of education, Rumbaugh will look for opportunities “to come alongside member companies as a partner in education, not just a content provider.”

Rumbaugh has developed a variety of educational offerings, including a robust online training website and several on-site events.

“The days when someone will receive all of their education through a conference or training course are long gone,” Rumbaugh said. “To provide the best education, we must get into our members’ workflow and make sure they have the performance support that they need. I intend to spend a significant amount of time understanding what the industry needs and exploring the best way for us to provide that whether that is online, mobile, conferences or webinars.”

Prior to joining NGA, Rumbaugh was a senior research analyst with the Corporate Executive Board, where he developed and managed an online survey tool to measure employee engagement levels and devise action plans.

“Education is vital to helping our members navigate the changing regulations and understand the latest technologies,” said Rich Gottwald, ISA executive vice president. “We are thrilled to have someone with Matthew’s experience helping to expand the educational opportunities that ISA provides to our members and the industry.”
