President Trump has announced tariffs on imported aluminum (10%) and steel (25%), effective March 23. Canada and Mexico have been exempted from the new trade policy.
Many products of the sign, graphics and visual communications industry have components made from aluminum and steel. If these tariffs raise the costs and lower the availability of these raw materials, there could be negative consequences on sign supplies and products downstream.

The tariffs are sure to be a hot topic of discussion at ISA International Sign Expo in Orlando, FL, March 21-24, where professionals from the sign, graphics and visual communications industry will have an opportunity to brainstorm with peers and talk with ISA staff about effective ways to deal with this new trade policy.
