ISA Educates 76 Crane Operators on Mobile Crane Operator Safety

Last week in St. Louis, 26 mobile crane operators attended ISA’s Mobile Crane Operator Safety Certification program. These individuals attended a three-day classroom program followed by written and practical certification exams conducted by The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators. To date in 2011, ISA has trained and offered certification testing to more than 225 individuals at 17 locations across the country. In addition, on Oct. 27, 61 sign company professionals participated in the ISA-hosted webinar “Everything You Need to Know about Mobile Crane Operator Safety Certification.” In the webinar, Joel Oliva of NCCCO provided an overview of the new OSHA Cranes and Derricks in Construction Rule and explained the requirements for sign companies.
