Walking in Downtown Memphis
On Aug. 16, ISA staff and representatives from the Mid South Sign Association participated in a sign code workshop sponsored by the Downtown Memphis Commission to update the Design Guidelines and Sign Code for the Central Business Improvement District in Memphis, Tenn. This was the first step in the sign code process, and ISA will continue to work closely with city officials and other key stakeholders to represent the interests of the sign industry and sign users. The next meeting will take place in a couple of months to review the findings of the workshop. ISA’s goal is to help draft a reasonable and beneficial sign code for downtown Memphis to promote livability and economic vibrancy in the community.
